#1 When starting a business, you need to have a killer presentation. When you start going after business partners and customers for your product or service, they need to be amazed. The first impression is everything. Try to limit you presentation to 3 main points about what your products and services have to offer. In addition, I recommend using visual aids because they can help leave a long-lasting impression to your audience.

#2 In addition, make sure that you allow your audience to ask questions. If you are involved in an MLM opportunity or home business opportunity, chances are that it requires a lot of money to start. If people are not comfortable in asking questions, that will increase more skepticism in their minds. Be sure to acknowledge their concerns and reservations.

#3 Make sure to practice your script religiously. In my opinion, the battle is won before you even give the presentation. I recommend that you try to memorize your presentation by reciting it 10-15 times a day. Depending on the opportunity you join, you will be given a script. If you are not given a script, there are many different resources on the internet to help you make one.

#4 I suggest that you quit with grace. Do not let your dead-end job get in the way of your dreams. To see success, you will have to put your focus on one thing only. That one thing is your business. I believe in risk and reward.

#5 You will have to cut people off. We all know people who are toxic to our lives. They provide no motivation and they always carry negative energy, no matter where they go. You will have to separate yourself from those types of people and attach yourself to people who are positive and carry positive energy.

#6 Do not take defeat personally. You will have to understand that the minute you decide to take your life to the next level by starting a business, you will face many defeats and obstacles. Do not take the defeats personally, you will just have to keep on fighting through the storm. I believe that tough times do not last, tough people do.

#7 Know when to stop talking. After you are done giving your presentation, you must balance the time for you to speak and the time for your audience to speak. When you just keep talking and you do not give other people the chance to express their thoughts as well, they will stop listening to you.

#8 People will say no. When you start trying to sell your products to your audience, some people will say no. Do not try to change their minds. That is the nature of the business world. When you try to sell something to someone and they say no, just pick your head back up and move on to the next person.
