As a budding entrepreneur, it can be difficult to get your business to stand out against competitors. You know that your company is the best of its kind, but how can you get people to notice it for themselves? Strategic marketing is a delicate juggling act, but once you have good methods established you can only work your way up.
Grand Entrance
Make sure that your entryway is one to remember, especially if you’re trying to grab the public’s attention. Paint your front door a wild color, or post a giant welcome sign on it. (Learn more if you’re interested in upgrading your door.) Have potted plants and fun chalkboard signs flanking the door. Let people know that you’re there and equally important, make sure they remember you!
Old School
As digital as the world has become, the oldest methods are sometimes the most effective. Have eye-catching business cards made and leave them at restaurants, pin them to community bulletin boards and leave them at libraries. Generate buzz about your name, make people curious about you and what you have to offer.
Get Involved with the Community
Reach out to your area to market your business in a number of different ways. The more people who know about you, the better!
- Volunteer at a charity event, or adopt a road with your employees.
- Set up a booth at your county fair and hand out brochures and fliers. Encourage questions and remember to be friendly and welcoming.
- Sponsor a local sports team with your company logo on the back of the T-shirts. Your name will be guaranteed to be seen at every match they play!
Marketing doesn’t have to be only expensive, fancy techniques. Sometimes the best way to get the word out is to simply be a presence in your area and let the world know you’re here.
